SOMA Sapiens is a series of ongoing short films by Grant Thompson in partnership with SOMA West Community Benefit District that offers a glimpse into the lives of people in the South of Market neighborhood in San Francisco. We aim to celebrate and uplift the stories of the individuals that make this large and diverse neighborhood into a vibrant community. Join us in the first of two short films exploring SF Pole and Dance.

By stepping through the doors at SF Pole & Dance studio you aren’t just taking a fitness class, you are joining a community. As students, they grow together – uplifting each other with encouragement and unconditional support. They practice their art according to five essential values:
