Cleaning & Maintenance Services
Monday - Sunday, 6:00am - 3:00pm
SOMA West CBD ambassadors' hard work is driven by real-time data collected through multiple channels, including 311 and daily walk-through of our district’s ten cleaning zones. As a district of our size, this data-driven approach allows us to track tasks and provide services to the far reaches of our district more efficiently.
To make a service request please call 1-888-415-SOMA (7662) during business hours.

Sidewalk & Gutter Sweeping
Uniformed, radio-equipped personnel sweet litter, debris, and refuse from sidewalks and gutters throughout the District. We also remove paper signs, stickers, handbills that are taped or glued on properties, utility boxes, poles, and other infrastructure.
Pressure Washing
Pressure washing is done regularly on the sidewalks and in 'hot spot' areas as needed.

Graffiti Removal
Our painters remove graffiti by painting, using solvent, and pressure washing. We make an effort to remove all tags within 24-48 hours on weekdays. While we do our best to match the color, property owners are more than welcome to supply us with the exact color. For graffiti removal on private property, please complete the consent form below.
Trash & Bulk Item Pickup
Our collector truck personnel collect trash from sidewalk trash receptacles, to help supplement the work of Recology. We dispatch our trucks to collect large items illegally dumped in the district.
To report a bulk issue please use 311.org or use the APP
Greening & Maintenance
Ambassadors maintain the green amenities in our neighborhood like planters and tree wells, keeping plants watered and weeds at bay. For more detailed landscape project information, see Projects > Greening
Safety & Outreach Services
Outreach
SOMA West CBD has a full-time professionally trained and experienced outreach director on staff who is in regular contact with the City of San Francisco, emergency services, and neighborhood nonprofits to help our neighbors who are experiencing homelessness, mental health crisis, and addiction get connected with the services they need, as well as providing them food, personal hygiene products, and warm accessories. Our staff is trained in de-escalation and harm-reduction techniques, including NARCAN administration, which we have used to save lives.
If you see someone experiencing an overdose, please call 911 .
