Welcome to the new SOMA West Community Benefit District Website!
Our team has been hard at work to create a website that could become a true resource for the SOMA community that:
- Highlights our unique local businesses and nonprofit organizations
- With our new website, you will be able to find SOMA-based businesses for whatever your needs are! Our comprehensive listings showcase each small business with an easy-to-navigate map so that you can plan your next outing. Is your business not listed? Submit it here!
- Celebrates SOMA’s cultural districts: The Leather & LGBTQ Cultural District and SOMA Pilipinas.
- These districts’ layered, complex histories are woven into the fabric of our neighborhood and make it the rich, storied place that it is today. We are honored to be their neighbors and support the significant work to keep their communities in place and their cultures visible.
- Helps you explore the artistic cultural of the neighborhood
- Art is everywhere in SOMA: Art institutions like SOMA Arts, Artspan, and St. Joseph’s Art Society, to galleries and studios showing renowned local and international artists like Heron Art and 1AM Gallery. SOMA Is also home to world-renowned designers, architects, makers, and musicians. You can find it around every corner on large-scale murals and inspired small-scale guerrilla interventions.
- Keeps you informed of the work that the CBD is doing
- Services including cleaning, maintenance, and beautification projects and events that are going on in the neighborhood. SOMA West CBD uses advanced technology to track and report on our work at a granular level. Dig into our reporting to see the difference that we are making in the neighborhood. Amplifies important, relevant information and resources for the South of Market community in general.
